North Asheville Atlanta Bread Company Closed
The Merrimon Avenue location of Atlanta Bread Company is now closed.
Asheville is now down to one Atlanta Bread Company, at 484 Hendersonville Road.
Both restaurants are owned by local franchisees Jill and John Fisher, who opened Atlanta Bread on Merrimon Avenue in 2001 and purchased the Hendersonville Road outpost two years later.
Jill Fisher said there are no plans to close the South Asheville location.
“All employees were offered jobs at the Hendersonville Road location,” she said. “Some of them came and some pursuing other options.”
Fisher said there was no particular reason for the closing.
Requests for more information were not immediately answered by Atlanta Bread Company’s public relations team, but according to the Atlanta-Journal Constitution, the Atlanta Bread Company was one of the fastest growing chains in the early 2000s, tripling in size by 2004 to 164 shops.
More than half of those stores closed by 2012. Now there are about 60 stores in 18 states.

Hello there, and thanks for your interest in Biscuit Head for your catering needs. All catering orders must be placed at least 5 days in advance. Orders must be a minimum of $150 and will include an automatic 18% service charge. Disposable silverware is available at your request for $.50 per guest.
All Asheville catering orders are made at our 1994 Hendersonville Rd. location. Orders can be picked up during regular business hours. Were happy to deliver your catering order for a delivery fee of 10% of the subtotalunless the destination is outside our delivery area in which case it will likely be more to cover our additional time.

From I-40. Take exit 50 Hwy 25 South. Go South on Hwy 25 past the Huddle House and the old Biltmore School . Our office is 2/10s of a mile past the interstate on the right in the Heritage Corner Business Center. Next door is the Forest Edge Shopping Center with the Apollo Flame Restaurant in it. Across the street from the Atlanta Bread Company.
From South Asheville. Drive North on Hendersonville Rd. . Before you get to I-40, Look for the Apollo Flame Restaurant on the left and The Atlanta Bread Company across the street The Heritage Corner Business Center is next door to the Forest Edge Shopping Center on the left.
From Biltmore Ave. Go South on Biltmore Ave. past Biltmore Village , past the hotels at I-40, and under the interstate. 2/10s of a mile past the intersection with I-40, and look for the Heritage Corner Business Center on the right. The office is in the Heritage Corner Business Center.
