Where In California Is The Wine Country

The Californian wine country is in the North San Francisco Bay area, with over 800 wineries located all along this scenic route. The Bay area encompasses some of the worlds most famous wine regions, including Napa Valley and Sonoma.

The success of these famous regions within the Bay area is largely to do with the sound soil composition and ideal climatic conditions. Each region is fortunate to have a wide range of temperatures and soil types, allowing the brilliant variety of grapes to thrive here.

What Is The Famous Wine Region Featured In The Movie Sideways

Thats Santa Barbara.

The greatest attribute of Sideways is that it promoted Pinot Noir, which became very popular because of the movie.

The region of Santa Barbara offers a great variety of unique tasting options with over 120 different wineries to choose from. This region is off-the-beaten-track, but should not be underestimated. Sideways drew much-needed attention to this region and all that it has to offer.

How Is Bread & Butter Chardonnay Made

Bread & Butter Chardonnay is made from one hundred percent Chardonnay grapes. The grapes are, however, sourced from two distinct regions and the blending of these two ingredients creates a perfectly balanced wine. Expert wine-making skills match the boldness of the grapes from the Carneros region with the more subdued and subtle grapes from the Arroyo Seco region.

The big flavors of the grapes from the Carneros region are fermented in one-year-old American oak barrels for four months. Meanwhile, the Arroyo Seco grapes enjoy an eight-month sojourn in new French oak. This produces a wine with light woodiness and a delicate creaminess.

About Bread & Butter Wines

Napa Valley’s Newest Tasting Room Doesn’t Take Things Too Seriously Unless That Is You Want Them To

Even if you haven’t tasted Bread & Butter Wines, you’ve probably at least seen the label. Its branding is reminiscent of Chanel’s: white, simple, and sleek with bold black lettering. Now one of the fastest-growing wine brands in the U.S., Bread & Butter has set down roots in Napa Valley with a new tasting room that pours limited-release, small production Napa Valley wines.

Bread & Butter lets its guests determine what kind of tasting experience they’d like, whether that’s leisurely sipping wine and catching up with friends, geeking out and learning the ins and outs of the winemaking process, or waxing poetic about notes of white peach or strawberry rhubarb in the glass. It’s a place where you can learn about wine in plain English and where there are truly no stupid questions.

The team at Bread & Butter believes wine shouldn’t be complicated. They know chateau just means “house.” When you walk through the doors, it feels more like a modern home than a traditional tasting room. Like the bottles’ labels, there’s a chic black and white theme throughout and one of the first things you’ll notice is a giant, whimsical map of Napa Valley and its many wine producing regions painted on a wall by a local artist. It toes the line between educational and playful, the first sign that wine is approached a little differently here. This no-fuss, you-do-you vibe carries all the way to the restrooms, where the brand’s ethos, “Don’t overthink it,” is reflected back at you in the mirror.

What Kind Of Wine Is Bread & Butter Chardonnay

Bread & Butter Chardonnay is an oak matured white with a delectable balance of flavors. The bread part of the wine originates in the infusion of flavor from the oak barrels, while the buttery quality is caused by malolactic fermentation. Once the golden hue has filled the glass and the wine begins to breathe, butterscotch together with a tinge of lemongrass beckons. Vanilla flavors take over and are gently nudged aside by a rich peach finale.

The wine is the result of a complex combination of different oaks, namely American, Eastern European, and French. Together, they create a creaminess and a touch of spice. The two wines that form this mighty Chardonnay come from the Monterey region and the Carneros area. The former supplying the boldness and the latter providing more subtle undertones. Bread & Butter Chardonnay reviews highlight the dual quality of freshness and creamy decadence of the wine.

How To Serve Bread & Butter Chardonnay

As a white wine, Bread & Butter Chardonnay must be chilled before serving. Changing the temperature of wine always needs to be done slowly. So, popping the bottle of Chardonnay in the freezer to chill it when your guests are knocking on the door, is not going to score you many points. So, a little planning is required.

If you really are short of time, then half an hour in an ice water bath will suffice, but an hour in the refrigerator will be far better. The shape of the glass is going to play a role in your enjoyment of the wine. A glass with a narrow bowl will accentuate the oakiness, which some may find less appealing. Chardonnay glasses need more room. The rounded bowl and wider mouth allow the different layers and aromas of the wine to be more easily appreciated.
