History Of Hawaiian Bread
The sweet dinner rolls known as Hawaiian Bread today werent native to the island. The sweet bread recipe came along with Portuguese immigrants in the 1910s. In the early 1900s, sweet bread was a well-liked delicacy by the natives.
In 1950 Robert Taira, American-born son to Japanese-immigrant parents, opened up his bakery called Roberts Bakery in Hilo, Hawaii. He had graduated top of his class from cooking school and knew how to turn out sweet and delectable cakes and bread. The sweet Hawaiian bread became an instant hit that Taira would end up opening another bakery in Honolulu on Kings Street from where the iconic bakery gets the Kings Bakery name.
2020 marks 70 years since the inception of Kings Bakery. Since then, they have spread out to the East Coast and are a well-known brand.

Spinach Dip Bread Bowl Recipe
Spinach Dip Bread Bowl is one of my favorite appetizer recipes to make for a party. Whether I am hosting the party at my home or attending one, this is one of quick and easy recipes to make.
One of the greatest things about this recipe is it travels well! Plus as an added bonus you can make it ahead of time. I always make it the day or night before I need it. The dip also taste better the longer it can sit, so overnight is a good time frame. This gives all the spices time to marinate together. If you are short on time you need to at least let it sit two hours or longer. I keep it in a bowl in the fridge overnight and right before serving, spoon it into the bread bowl.
Spinach Dip Bread Bowl is a great delicious appetizer for the upcoming Labor Day weekend and holidays. My family loves when I bring it for Thanksgiving and I always make sure to bring extra bread, because there never seems to be enough. Be sure to give this appetizer recipe a try, you will not be disappointed at all!

What Kind Of Muffin Tin Should I Use
I prefer my non-stick traditional size muffin tin for this recipe. The bread bowls come right out after slightly cooled. Check your local Target or Walmart in the baking pan section. Amazon also has a big selection. If you are not using a non-stick muffin tin, lightly spray with cooking spray.
Flatten each slice of bread dough with the palms of your hands about a 3 inch round.
Press in the bottom and up the sides of your muffin tin.
Chop the baby spinach and cook in hot skillet. It wilts quickly Now add your garlic and stir it all up for a good minute or so.
Place your cream cheese, sour cream, spinach and parmesan cheese into a mixing bowl. Mix and add a pinch of smoked paprika then add the garlic salt. Add the salt and pepper. Give another good mix.
Scoop dip into your bread bowls.
Sprinkle with cheese, bake for 15 minutes, until golden.
Wait until you dig into these Enjoy!

Bread Bowl Spinach Dip
This is my favorite version of spinach dip. Theres something about the way the sweet flavor of the Hawaiian bread cubes works with the creamy spinach dip made with Parmesan cheese and onion.
- 2 packages chopped spinach, cooked and drained
- 1 medium sweet onion, chopped and sautéed in 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1-1/4 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 loaf Hawaiian Sweet Bread
- 1 package Hawaiian Sweet Bread rolls, cubed
Combine the first 6 ingredients and refrigerate at least 12 hours. Before serving create a bowl by hollowing out the center of the Hawaiian loaf and fill with spinach dip. Using a serrated knife cut the center section of the bread loaf and the package of rolls into cubes for spreading the dip.
Knorr Spinach Dip In A Bread Bowl

You guys. Our friend Anne is kind of a quiet authority on a lot of things. She’s worked for Gourmet and for Architectural Digest, and she has all the friends and all the fun. Her kids are turning out SUPER. We spent a delightful evening at their house several years ago, and she served Knorr spinach dip.
It turns out that for my whole life I’ve just been looking for a justification to serve this stuff every time we have a party with the slightest hint of a buffet. I didn’t know it, but I absolutely was. Pretty much on the ride home from Anne’s house we stopped at a supermarket and bought a Knorr vegetable recipe mix packet and some water chestnuts, and we’ve never looked back. This recipe “recipe” didn’t make it to the website until we needed it for Spinach Dip Deviled Eggs, but don’t blame the dip. That’s on me.

Can You Freeze Spinach Dip
Not recommended. Both sour cream and cream cheese are finicky about freezing temperature, and wont retain their textures once thawed. The freezing/defrosting process also squashes the crispness of any vegetables in your spinach dip recipe.

Piri Piri French Fries
We all know how versatile French fries are but have you had Piri Piri flavored fries? Theres nothing like it.
The Piri Piri seasoning comes with a touch of all the flavors known to men- you get sweet and salty, along with a vinegary spiciness and finally the tang of lemon zest.
It is a bust of flavors from all sides. Pair this with a mild spinach dip, and you have the best combination of flavors.
Although it sounds overpowering o paper, the Piri Piri seasoning does nothing but elevate your spinach dip into another plane.
It is the most incredible dip for any French fries.
How To Serve Knorr Spinach Dip
Serving this spinach dip in a bread bowl is the typical method. Just be sure to choose a sturdy bread with a decent crust that will contain the dip well, and with a texture that will hold up to dipping. .
I prefer a sourdough loaf for this recipe because theyre easy to find in the store. For you aspiring bakers, if you want to earn some extra credit, try baking this sourdough bread recipe from Girl vs Dough.
I also recommend serving this Knorr spinach dip recipe in a pumpernickel loaf. The dark color and bold flavor of pumpernickel bread is a nice contrast to the cool dip.
If youre feeling especially adventurous, you could even bake my cast iron skillet bread and add this Knorr spinach dip afterward, for a showstopper dip presentation that really departs from the norm.
